SHATTERPROOF SISTUHS: Tips from Resilient Black Women
This powerful collection shares real-life stories from women who have overcome adversity. The contributors—resilient, insightful, and unapologetically honest—share challenges in relationships, careers, education, finances, grief, and depression. Through their narratives, these Shatterproof Sistuhs offer a roadmap to healing, providing guidance and encouragement to other women navigating similar storms.
The book also explores the vital connection between physical, spiritual, and mental health, reinforcing the idea of holistic well-being. As Dr. Green poignantly states, "While it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to sustain an adult," reminding us that community and shared wisdom are essential at every stage of life.

GRANDMAMA MAMA DRAMA
RACIAL RESILIENCE

"Racial Resilience" captures the diverse experiences of students at both Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs). Based on data from nearly 200 students in a variety of university settings—including those who were both successful and unsuccessful in fulfilling their college aspirations—the book provides insight into student perceptions of success and barriers.
By featuring student profiles, challenges, and tips, Dr. Green offers a unique model for student outcomes that introduces the concepts of Racial Resilience and Racial Responsiveness as key factors in a student's college journey.

SPIRITUAL RESILIENCE
"Grandmama Mama Drama" is a narrative told in three parts. Part One details the custody journey—and often, the battle—that many parents and grandparents face when trying to provide a safe and nurturing home for children. Part Two describes the changing roles of African American grandparents, highlighting their strengths and needs.
The final segment, Part Three, shares a wonderful assortment of joyful and tearful experiences from grandparents across the United States. As Dr. Green's favorite quote from Lattimer (1997) reminds us, "Many things we need can wait. The children cannot."
